Three ways to remove wax crayons from walls

Have the kids been using your walls as a colouring book? Fear not, these 3 simple and quick tips should remove all marks and artwork that has been involuntarily added to your walls.

Baking Soda-

Reader’s Digest offers many different solutions to crayon on walls. The first of which is baking soda. Simply get a damp cloth dipped in baking soda and then scrub the crayon off the walls. This should remove the crayon in no time with minimal effort.

WD-40 –

Katelyn Fagan recommends spraying WD-40 on a paper towel and spreading over larger areas of crayon covered walls should be very effective to remove the crayon off the walls. Although effective this method is advised to be used with caution. The WD-40 leaves a not so pleasant smell and an oily residue on the walls. To wash this off simply use hot soapy water and wash down the walls.

Glass cleaner –

Using ammonia based glass cleaner seems to be good at removing crayon from walls. This recommendation also comes from Katelyn Fagan who says the spray cleans off almost all the crayon and also recommends to spray it and let it sit for a couple minutes for increased effectiveness.

The scary crayon marks should be no longer after using these tips. Follow our blog for more helpful tips and tricks to help you through.
