Mini Life Hacks

After seeing many of our fellow Cleanhome blogs post about Life Hacks we thought we would find some more little tricks to help.

Scrubbing Brush –

When cleaning things in the kitchen it often happens that you’ve forgotten to replace the old scourer pads or sponges. A simple and cheap alternative to this is to use a foil ball. The rough edges will lift up stick on grime making it a very good alternative scrubbing brush.

*Only to be used on old pans & pots with no non-stick

Flower pots –

Flowers are a lovely addition to any room of the house, left to long vases can also leave marks. These marks can be very tricky to scrub off. There is however, a simple way of stopping this happening. Our little hack is to add felt stickers, used to stop furniture from scraping the floors, to the bottom of the vases. This will raise the pot up slightly and add padding to the bottom – no more marks.

Key colours –

Finding which key goes in the door you want can be a repetitive and boring task. A simple way to differentiate between many different keys is to colour code them using nail varnish. The nail varnish will protect the metal underneath from rust – extra bonus! Ensure you only paint the head of the key, as you could render the key unusable.

Painting –

Many houses have little scuffs and marks on the walls. A great little tip to follow once you have painted a room is to keep a little jar of the paint you used. This means you can do touch ups at any point in time if you have an accident or somehow scrape some of the paint from the wall.

We hope you find these tips helpful. Stay tuned to our blog section and social media pages for more handy little tips and tricks to use around the house.
